Four in a Bed host breaks down in tears

In a heart-wrenching episode of Channel 4's Four in a Bed, one contestant was visibly moved by the decisions of the other B&B owners during the intense payment day face-off. During a repeat broadcast, audiences watched as the competitors gathered for the climactic showdown over payments.

Julie, dissatisfied with the criticism she received, decided to challenge her guests on their grievances. She quickly addressed the group about the scores given for her breakfast, which some had slated for its quality.

When one guest likened it to a "builders' breakfast" Julie retorted: "We have had a lot of builders in and they like their breakfast like that," reports the Mirror.

Emotions ran high as Julie, fighting back tears, defended her cooking skills. Choking up, she expressed: "What I feel disappointed in, I feel like I am a good cook. I always pride myself on a good breakfast. You lot, you've got chefs working."

In a show of solidarity, another participant commended Julie for being the sole cook among them, as the others had all relied on their staff.

Alistair offered consolation to Julie in private, reassuring her of her consistent efforts.

Reflecting on the tearful incident, Inez remarked: "Seeing Julie break down over breakfast was actually heartbreaking. I don't think she's a bad cook, I just think the pressure got to her."

Yet, the emotional turmoil didn't end there, as Julie later pressed the other contestants on why they wouldn't choose to revisit her establishment.

She told the group in an emotional moment: "You've all said you wouldn't come back. I feel really upset about it."

The other competitors attempted to offer words of comfort, with one suggesting that they would consider returning if given a different room with a cooler temperature.

In appreciation, Julie expressed: "We're both new to this, I just want to put this point across.

"When we found out who we were up against, we were absolutely distraught because there's no way that we could match up to any of you. Honestly, we couldn't. On the first day, we felt sick."

Jumping in, another owner became emotional as she praised Julie for her remarkable progress in just 18 months with her BandB.

She exclaimed: "We've been doing it all this time and you lot have just thrown it out the bag after 18 months, you're brilliant! Don't be hard on yourself."

Despite everyone's comforting words, the final verdict left Julie's BandB at the last spot as they fell short by a total of £34.

Four in a Bed is availale to watch on All4.
