Emmerdale fans have lashed out at a soap character - dubbing her as the “most awful woman in the village.”
Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) first set foot in the famous Dales back in 2014. And it didn’t take the character long to get involved in drama on the soap.
From cat fights to affairs, Tracy has had her fair share of dramatic storylines. Last year, she struck up an affair with Caleb Miligan (William Ash) which was eventually expedited, in typical soap fashion.
However, it appears that the character has recently rubbed viewers up the wrong way. Over in the soap, Ella Forster (Paula Lane) made her return.
Fans will recall, Ella arrived in the Dales back in January - hiding a big secret. When Ella was 11-years-old, she killed her best friend and was sent to prison for the crime.
In the village, Ella struck up a romance with GP Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson). However, when he found out about her being a child killer, Liam called it quits, unable to deal with it, following the murder of his own daughter Leanna (Mimi Slinger).
As a result, Ella fled the village back in June.
However, last week, she made her dramatic comeback after getting into a car accident.
In recent episodes, Tracy has not held back when it came to sharing her thoughts on Ella - lashing out at her whenever she sees her about.
But the character has left viewers fuming, with one writing on a Reddit thread:“Is Tracey the most awful woman in the village?
“Where does Tracey get off being holier than thou? She cheated on Nate with Caleb, in a cold and calculated affair. She's binned Nate. Now, she's attacking Ella.. why?

“How has Ella's past got anything to do with her? She's judging people, having a go at them... Tracey is VILE and they seriously shouldn't have brought the actor back after maternity leave. I don't see what she's adding whatsoever,” the fan added.
Someone else wrote: “I hate her so much I skip when she's on screen.” A third penned: “I don't even understand her venom with Ella. She's committed enough of her own mistakes that she should realize that Ella hasn't been that person in a long time, and even that was not an intentional murder.”
Another viewer defended Tracy as penned: “I like Tracy in small doses but she can be a bit loud at times. I like her and Vanessa as sisters and it’s funny how they are so different but then again they don’t grow up together.”
Someone else proclaimed: “The fact you feel so strongly about the character suggests the actress (Amy Walsh) is doing a great job.
“Literally everyone in Emmerdale is a hypocrite. They all have done bad things whilst b******g at people for doing bad things. It's how soaps work.”
