Sonia Fowler has been left in shock after discovering she's pregnant with boyfriend Reiss Colwell's baby, following their IVF treatment. However, the father-to-be is still conning Sharon Watts as his financial woes continue to escalate.
In Monday's episode of EastEnders (July 22), Sonia shared her pregnancy fears with close friend Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth). Fans of the BBC One soap will recall that Sonia previously believed she was pregnant, only to be heartbroken when she found out she had a blighted ovum and wasn't actually expecting.
But after another round of IVF, Sonia's dreams have finally come true. Kathy urged Sonia to take a pregnancy test as they anxiously awaited the result.
Meanwhile, Reiss' financial problems worsened when Debbie's care home called demanding payment for her fees. In a desperate bid to raise the money, Reiss visited Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and informed her about an outstanding tax bill.

Reiss even blamed Sharon's forgetfulness on the payments due to the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Taylor).Sharon confided in Reiss that her former partner Keanu liked him, which is why she entrusted him with her business accounts, reports the Daily Star.
He later visited his comatose wife Debbie, confessing his guilt over his actions and the predicament he had landed himself in, made worse by scamming Sharon and lying to Sonia.
In a dramatic turn of events on EastEnders, Sonia was left reeling with shock when Reiss uncovered his pressing debts just as they were celebrating the news of her pregnancy.
