Love & Death full cast list: Who stars in the ITV series alongside Elizabeth Olsen?

Elizabeth Olsen, Jesse Plemons, Patrick Fugit, Lily Rabe, and Tom Pelphrey star in Love & Death. The HBO Max Original first launched on ITVX last year and is now coming to ITV1 screens nearly a year after its debut on the broadcaster's streaming platform.

The gripping psychological drama from David E. Kelley will air on the channel at 9pm on Saturday, July 20.

The show features an impressive ensemble cast with Elizabeth Olsen of WandaVision fame, Jesse Plemons known for his roles in Breaking Bad and The Power of the Dog, Lily Rabe from American Horror Story, and Patrick Fugit who appeared in Gone Girl. The cast also includes Elizabeth Marvel, Tom Pelphrey, Krysten Ritter, and Keir Gilchrist.

Love & Death spins the astonishing true tale of Candy Montgomery, portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen, a 1980s Texas housewife embroiled in a murder case.

The official synopsis states: "Despite a loving family, a picture-perfect home, and an active presence at church, Candy is unable to shake her sense of suburban ennui. After an unexpectedly charged moment with fellow church member Allan Gore (Jesse Plemons), Candy finds just the risk-taking thrill that's been missing from her life.

"Their ensuing, meticulously strategised affair unfolds mostly as planned until their respective spouses, Pat (Patrick Fugit) and Betty (Lily Rabe), each discover their secret...and someone picks up an axe."

Elizabeth Olsen - Candy Montgomery

Elizabeth is most recognised for her portrayal of Wanda Maximoff, The Scarlet Witch, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, featuring in titles such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, WandaVision, Avengers Endgame, Infinity War, and Age of Ultron, as well as Captain America: Civil War and The Winter Soldier.

She has also graced the screen in Godzilla and Ingrid Goes West, and the 2011 critically acclaimed film Martha Marcy May Marlene, which saw Elizabeth nominated for a plethora of awards.

Jesse Plemons - Allan Gore

Starring opposite Elizabeth is Jesse Plemons, famed for his roles in The Master, The Homesman, Black Mass, Bridge of Spies, Game Night, Vice, The Irishman, Judas and the Black Messiah, Jungle Cruise, and The Power of the Dog. His performance in the latter earned him a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Fans of Breaking Bad may recognise Jesse from his role in the popular series, where he played Todd Alquist. He has also featured in other series such as Friday Night Lights, Fargo, and Black Mirror.

Lily Rabe - Betty Gore

Lily is celebrated for her roles in The Undoing and American Horror Story, and has also appeared in The First Lady, Shrinking, and more recently in the Apple TV+ series Presumed Innocent alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.

Patrick Fugit - Pat Montgomery

Patrick Fugit, known for his roles in TV series like Treadstone and Outcast, as well as films such as Babylon, Gone Girl, and First Man, is part of the cast.

Krysten Ritter - Sherry Cleckler

Krysten, best recognised for her Emmy Award-winning role in Netflix's original series, Marvel's Jessica Jones, also stars in the show. Her other notable performances include Orphan Black: Echoes, The Defenders, and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23.

Tom Pelphrey - Don Crowder

Tom Pelphrey, familiar to audiences from shows like Amazon Prime's Outer Range, A Man in Full, and Netflix's hit Ozark, where he played Ben Davis and earned a Critics Choice Award nomination, is also part of the ensemble. He has also appeared in Iron Fist.
