Sara Martins, the dazzling star from the inaugural season of Death in Paradise, is set to grace screens in an electrifying new Amazon Prime Video project.
The 46-year-old French actress shot to fame with her portrayal of DS Camille Bordey in the hit BBC One comedy-drama, quickly becoming a beloved figure among viewers. Her unexpected departure after the fourth series left fans reeling with disappointment.
Back in 2015, when she made the decision to exit, Sara expressed her need to embrace more "risks" for a thriving acting career.
In a candid chat with What's On TV, she confessed: "I've loved everything about the show.
"But the only way to grow in life is to take risks, even if it means losing something you love, or leaving a place that's comfortable."
"You should always go forward and take new challenges. The unknown is so seducing, although it's scary," the intrepid actress remarked.
Her admirers were overjoyed when Sara made a comeback to Guadeloupe for a fleeting appearance in the tenth series.
With Sara snagging a sizzling role on Amazon Prime Video, it's clear why her return to the BBC series was but a brief interlude.

Amazon Prime Video is on the brink of releasing a savage Gladiator-inspired series titled Those About to Die, which is set to be a blockbuster hit with its galaxy of stars.
Sir Anthony Hopkins, Iwan Rheon, Tom Hughes, Jojo Macari, Rupert Penry Jones and Johannes Haukur Johannesson are among the stars of the Roman elite-inspired show.
Those About to Die, directed by Roland Emmerich and Marco Kreuzpainter, will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime from July 19. The captivating trailer suggests it's a series not to be missed.
