GMB's Susanna Reid cuts off co-star in awkward moment after disagreement

The atmosphere on Good Morning Britain took a tense turn when Susanna Reid and Ed Balls chatted with competition host Andi Peters, who was live from the Norfolk Broads. Susanna praised the location as a "wonderful part of the world."

Ed, however, was less impressed and quipped with a negative tone: "There's only one downside though, there are no locks. It's flat."

"Right," Susanna interjected as Ed elaborated: "You know if you go on a canal boat you go up and down because there are locks? Well, there are no locks on the Broads."

With a touch of sarcasm, Susanna retorted: "No, and there are no locks in the sea either. Does that put you off going in the sea?"

Ed, disagreeing, replied: "No but in little waterways you want a lock, don't you?" He tried to continue but Susanna cut him off, reports the Mirror.

Concluding the exchange, Susanna sharply said: "Right, let's lock that one off," and moved on with the show.

Later in the episode, Ed expressed his discontent, feeling that Susanna had been unfair to him, indicating another instance where the co-hosts were not quite in sync.

During one segment, they introduced celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, with Susanna greeting him with a friendly hug.

At this moment, the cameras switched to ITV's Lorraine Kelly, previewing what was coming up on her programme.

Lorraine concluded her segment sooner than Susanna anticipated, resulting in an unexpected embrace with Tom that left her slightly embarrassed when she realised they were back on air.

"Oh you caught me in a bear hug with Tom Kerridge there," Susanna declared.

Ed then humorously remarked on the lack of affection he received, saying: "I tried to hug Susanna earlier she turned me down and now she's hugging Tom," prompting a light-hearted shrug and giggle from his co-host.
