Jason Manford hosts Morning Live as Gethin Jones replacement
BBC Morning Live presenter Helen Skelton has sent a sweet message to Michelle Ackerley following her return to work. The popular breakfast show airs weekdays between 9.30am and 10.45am with Gethin Jones, Helen, and Michelle at the helm.
However, Michelle, who also hosts The Worlds Strongest Man and Crimewatch Live, has been missing from screens for over a month to take some time off for her wedding and honeymoon. The presenter married her fiancé Ben Ryan last month and was last seen on Morning Live on Thursday, May 16, before returning to the programme on Wednesday, 26 June.
Teasing his co-host as she made her comeback on Morning Live last week, Gethin asked: "Where have you been? What have you been doing since we saw you last?"
"I've been getting married, haven't I?" Michelle responded smiling as Morning Live shared pictures of her nuptials with viewers. "There they are! These photos are absolutely gorgeous," Gethin then said of the photographs that depicted Michelle in a white gown alongside her beaming groom.
Helen also shared her delight at Michelle's return as she sent a sweet message to her co-host on Instagram. Sharing a behind-the-scenes reel of herself and Gethin getting ready backstage, Helen wrote: "Because @gethincjones is learning what a reel is and @nancyspencermakeup @alexandrayoungfashionstylist and I like to play dress up."
She then added: "Glad we got our @michelle_ackerley back with us @bbcmorninglive this week," followed by two red heart emojis. Michelle's return comes following a few weeks of presenting shake-ups on Morning Live.

Last month Helen and Gethin were replaced by Gaby Roslin and Rav Wilding. Helen was absent from screens as she was filming a Channel 5 travel series alongside Dan Walker.
The duo made the announcement following the success of their first series Dan and Helen's Pennine Adventure, which aired last year and saw the stars head across the Pennines.
Meanwhile, Jason Manford made his presenting debut on the show last week and is set to replace Gethin again on Wednesday, July 3, alongside Helen.
