Saturday Night Takeaway: Ant tells guest to buy some cushions
In the latest episode of Saturday Night Takeaway, ITV viewers saw hosts Ant and Dec return to their karaoke singalong segment. Cutting to various different homes around the country surprising fans, they went to Southampton to see Jackie Underwood.
Clearly shocked, Jackie appeared on-screen from her living room with another female viewer. Ant commented: “Jackie, you’re live on Saturday Night Takeaway, watch that tray, don’t knee it over, you’ve got drinks and savoury snacks by the looks of it?”
As boyband McFly started singing one of their songs, Jackie was tasked with finishing the lyrics. Successfully doing so, it resulted in her winning a cash prize.
However, the ITV host couldn’t help but take a cheeky swipe after noticing something about Jackie’s furniture. Ant said: “Oh well done! You can buy yourself some new cushions for that sofa because you’ve just won £500!”
Although it seems as though viewers were less than impressed with the comment as many believed it was uncalled for. Taking to Twitter, @JillHudson21 said: “Ant ripping into her about her cushions.. Err, not one to be a killjoy but was that really called for?”
@blue_laur11 reeled: “Who thinks Ant was rude about the final lady not having cushions on her sofa!”
@_P15TOL commented: “Ant the cheeky pr**k ripping the p**s out of that woman’s snacks and cushions.”
@ColdMotherWall added: “I'd be gutted if Ant ripped the p**s out my snacks AND my house decor in one night.”
@KingOfSunshine tweeted: “'You can buy some new cushions for that sofa' Ouch Ant.”

With @Gemma42981517 adding: “Ant what is wrong with her cushions and snacks …… she was relaxed ready to enjoy your show and fill your pockets with cash mmmmm.”
During the show, Ant and Dec touched on returning to screens after being away due to the rugby interrupting their schedule.
Dec said: “It’s great to be back after a week off, we’ve missed you!”
As he highlighted how weird it felt to be away from their TV show, Ant agreed as he said: “It was really weird! It’s nice to be home.”
They had a brief conversation with Star Guest Announcer Maya Jama before getting into the rest of the show.
Viewers saw Little Ant and Dec speak to Hollywood star Paul Rudd before going into their famous What’s Next segment.
As Cat Deeley appeared, she had a little surprise in store for the presenters as she tasked them with reading a story where they had to follow the instructions.
