Britain's Got Talent: Northants Sings Out choir perform

Britain's Got Talent fans slammed the show after a choir boasting over 60 members were "robbed" of the Golden Buzzer. During Saturday night's auditions, the choir Northants Sings Out wowed the judges with their impressive vocal skills.

All wearing denim, the group sang an impressive rendition of 'It Is Well with My Soul' and the club classic 'Show Me Love.' The crowd were also on their feet and were begging one of the judges to press their Golden Buzzer.

However, none of the judges took the plunge to press their button. But the group did make it through to the next round but fans were bitterly disappointed.

One person ranted on X: "#BGT wtf why have they not been given the #goldenbuzzer that choir was completely incredible. That was with a few of them. Imagine all 200. It's going to sound heavenly. There's my winner for the series. Choir but in a new way. Love it."

Another chimed in: "They should have given the choir earlier the golden buzzer over these dancers. #bgt," as a third said: "Wait how did this dance act get the golden buzzer over the Choir?! #BGT poor choice."

Another went on: "They were so robbed of a Golden Buzzer," as someone else fumed: "Sorry what they got the golden buzzer but the choir didn’t? not a huge fan of choirs on this show but they deserved it." (sic)

However, not everyone agreed and some said that they had seen better choirs. One person said: "Come on the choir was average. But I really thought they were going to get a golden buzzer #BGT."

A second penned: "There are hundreds of choirs around the country that are better than that one. If you are a choir you need something different to make you better than all the others. #BGT."

One person penned on X: "I’ve never seen a singing Batman before but my goodness he’s good," as a second commented: "Why's @elonmusk on #bgt hanging from the ceiling, singing opera dressed as Batman?"

A third chimed in: "Elphaba????!? #bgt #BGT #britainsgottalent," as a fourth person said: "Guys got a good voice, he could’ve left the Batman costume at home though #BGT."

Britain's Got Talent airs on Saturday's at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX.
