Emmerdale: Ruby and Kim talk about Caleb situation
Beth Cordingly burst onto screens playing Caleb Milligan's (played by Will Ash) wife Ruby Fox-Milligan earlier this year, and she soon discovered he'd been having an affair with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh).
The Emmerdale character has been teaming up with the cunning Kim Tate (Claire King) behind Caleb's back to seek revenge, and he doesn't seem to have worked out she's slowly been turning the Dingles against him.
To say Ruby is fiery would be an understatement, with the character picking fights with anyone who tries to cross her. She even threw an ornament at Caleb during a recent row between the pair after seeing red.
ITV spoilers have revealed Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) accepts Ruby's apology and the pair start to bond over their shared hurt at Caleb and Tracy's betrayals.
When Caleb marches in, he's baffled to see Ruby and Nate calmly talking. However, Nate tells his uncle he's a long way from forgiveness following his affair with his wife Tracy.
Has Ruby done enough to win her husband back following months of bitter rows and lies?
Ruby actress Beth recently opened up to Express.co.uk about her character's dark past and even hinted the newcomer could turn to murder.
Recalling how Ruby met Caleb, she said: "They got together when they were teenagers and they're sort of stuck."
She added: "She's giving up everything for him in her eyes, she turned her back on her family for him. So since she was sort of 16, he and [her son] Nicky Milligan [Lewis Cope] have been her whole world, and she doesn't appear to have any friends."
Beth continued: "So actually, it's sort of fear-based, as well in that if she loses them, she loses everything."
The actress touched upon how Ruby is so intent on making enemies in the village. When asked about receiving Emmerdale scripts, Beth teased: "You have to find your own logic through it... Obviously, whether you're playing a, you know, a murderer or whatever you have to find your own logic.
"But you always have to find your own logic through it to understand. And, so the only way I could see it is that she's hurt, it seems that her best form of defence is attack.
"She's very impulsive and spontaneous, she seems to act without thinking.
"So a few people have said to me. Oh, 'Is she like, Kim Tate?' And I don't think she's anything like Kim because Kim is very cool and calculated."
Beth admitted Ruby is simply "terrified" of losing Caleb so she sees the rest of his family as a "threat". She explained: "Instead of being clever about it and befriending them, she insults them."
Will Ruby end up being a cold-blooded killer if her obsession with Caleb increases?
