Tim and Fuzz are back, in a brand new season of Car SOS!

is in full swing as viewers will see Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend refurbish classic motors for well-deserving owners. One of which includes a Honda CR-X, which belongs to Adam.

The father of two, who appears on the show, has suffered from a series of health conditions over the years before being diagnosed with a condition, which although can be managed, is life-limiting.

With his dream car left in the garage after falling apart for 17 years, Tim and Fuzz work their magic to bring the motor back to its full glory. After learning that Tim’s hero was the presenter got to work trying to get him on the show.

Speaking to Express.co.uk and other media publications about Gordon’s cameo in this series, Tim revealed the man was on cloud nine with his car before seeing his special message. He said: “I went we’ve got a little message for you, it was so funny because I pulled it [phone] out of the pocket and it was Gordon saying, ‘Hey Tim, how’s it going mate?’

“You should’ve seen this guy's face light up! His whole family in the background were going, ‘F-me, it's Gordon Ramsay talking to our Tim!’

“We had to go, ‘Guys sorry we’re just recording the interview with Tim here’. It was the best moment ever. Tim’s face, he was so engrossed looking into the phone.

“When you’re that close to people, who have been going through a tough time and are living this tough time and you’re giving them their car back, and you get used to a series of expressions.

“But, when you just put the cherry on top by showing them a video of their hero, who means so much to them. They’re sitting in their car talking about their car, talking about what they’ve gone through and talking about what the day means to them.”

Tim shared that in the message Gordon had invited the man and his family to have a meal as an extra special addition.

He added: “What a lovely guy, it clearly shows that despite sometimes what we see on the TV of Gordon being a tough cookie, he’s actually a sweet, softhearted, gentle man and I love him for that.”

Agreeing, Fuzz shared that the celebrity chef jumped into the request and was completely up for it.

Although it wasn’t an easy job getting through to the celebrity chef as Tim revealed there were numerous emails he had sent, along with sending a personalised video message.

He added: “What I do know about Gordon, and I’ve heard it through various people that I’ve worked with that know Gordon, he’s a massive petrolhead!”

The host explained that Gordon would’ve known exactly the type of car they were doing up for Tim, which meant he emphasised the model of Honda in the video he sent across to get his attention, which seemed to do the trick.

Gordon is not the only celebrity making an appearance in season 12 of Car S.O.S as Sir David Jason also got involved along with singer-songwriter Mick Hucknall.

People can watch the special moment with Gordon and Tim later on in the series on April 5.

The new season 12 of Car S.O.S is on National Geographic every Thursday at 8pm.
