Coronation Street: Adam exposes lying pregnant wife Sarah at gender reveal party

Over the past few weeks, fans have seen Sarah Platt (played by Tina O’Brien) and Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) decide to give their relationship a proper go. However, what they don’t know is there’s drama on the way as Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) isn’t pleased about them being together.

This month, fans of the soap saw Adam pay Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) a visit to prison, explaining there’s a watertight case for an appeal. As the two make an unlikely alliance, it’s clear Adam is set on getting rid of Damon once and for all by enlisting the help of his criminal brother.

Official spoilers for the soap reveal that next week, Adam runs through the grounds of his appeal with Harvey and comes up with a twisted plot to try and get him released. He reveals that they need to try and pin Natasha Blakeman's (Rachel Leskovac) murder on someone else.

After his prison visit, Adam gets a call from Harvey who explains that a man called John Perry is willing to confess all to the police. However, when the solicitor manages to track John down, he’s surprised to realise the man is a cancer patient.

In the week, Sarah bumps into Adam and reveals she’s happy to sell their flat as she and Damon are looking at buying a house with a garden. Seething, Adam commits to his plan to try and get Harvey released and helps John go over his murder confession.

Will Adam manage to get Harvey released from prison for the ultimate brother showdown?

Last year, Damon caused a string of problems to the residents of Weatherfield and took a liking to Sarah instantly, despite her being married.

Although they tried to keep their distance, she started to have an affair with Damon behind Adam’s back, which resulted in her getting pregnant with his baby.

When Adam learned about his wife’s infidelity, he managed to scare Damon out of town, leaving his relationship with Sarah in tatters.

However, at the end of the year, the married couple seemed to be getting back on track, until Damon made an unexpected return.

Vowing he had put his criminal ways behind him, Damon has been trying to do everything right to win back Sarah.

Although she tried to resist him at first, the pair have been loved up on the cobbles, much to Adam’s disapproval.

Despite Damon trying to stay away from lies and crime, it looks as though he’s accidentally slipped back into old habits.

Next week, Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) scolds Damon for lying on Ed Bailey’s (Trevor Michael Georges) insurance forms, as he wanted Ed to try and profit from the fire.

However when Damon alludes to the fact she too has put her neck on the line for her Dad, Dee-Dee’s worried.

Will there be criminal consequences for Dee-Dee and Damon after they both tried to help Ed?

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
