Quavo has shared his support for Kamala Harris‘ presidential campaign during a speech at her rally in Atlanta, Florida.

The Atlanta rapper participated in an event yesterday (July 30) in his hometown as the Vice President and Democratic candidate continues her bid to become the next POTUS.

Quavo commended Harris for her commitment to tackling gun violence and running the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, which was established last year.

“One of these issues that I care about is resolving the gun violence issues,” Quavo told the rally. “You can t understand the struggle of gun violence if you not in the field or in the heart of it.”

He continued: “So, one thing I learned from working with Vice President Harris is she always stand on business. From inviting me to the White House last year to discuss these solutions, to passing the biggest gun safety laws today.

The former Migos member has been a heavy advocate for ending gun violence since his bandmate and nephew Takeoff was shot and killed in 2022, aged 28.

Quavo then set up the Rocket Foundation at the end of 2022 to invest in interventions that reduce community gun violence across the United States. He went to visit the White House last September to talk about the organisation’s work.

Last month, Quavo and Harris hosted The Rocket Foundation Summit – a gun violence prevention conference at the Carter Centre in Atlanta.

The event had panels about youth programs and information about intervention initiatives and their ability to tackle gun violence, according to Complex.

Yesterday’s presidential rally, which took place at the Georgia State Convocation Centre, also had a performance from Megan Thee Stallion. She played a mash-up of songs ˜Girls In The Hood , ˜Savage , ˜Body and ˜Mamushi – all while sporting a Democrat blue-coloured suit.

Similarly to Quavo, Megan Thee Stallion vocalised her support for Harris as the next American President, encouraging her fans to vote for her.

Billboard reports she said: Now I know my ladies in the crowd love their bodies. If you want to keep loving your bodies, you know who to vote for.”

Yesterday s rally marked Harris first visit to Georgia since President Joe Biden stepped down from the race to be re-elected.

Biden then endorsed Harris to be the Democratic candidate. She is going up against the Republican nominee Donald Trump to become the next POTUS.

Harris used a Migos lyric during the rally in Atlanta to make a snarky remark about Trump. She said: “As my friend Quavo would say, he does not ‘walk it like he talks it‘.”

Quavo and Megan Thee Stallion are not the only musicians who have expressed their support for the Harris Presidential campaign.

Olivia Rodrigo expressed her support for the current Vice President’s campaign over Harris’ stance on reproductive rights.

Charli XCX gave her backing to Harris on social media writing: Kamala IS brat, while John Legend called for the American public to elect Kamala Harris as our President .

Harris’ team at Kamala HQ embraced Charli XCX honouring the candidate by equating her to her new album and one of the hottest memes after the summer. The team launched a new Twitter banner in the style of Charli XCX s ˜Brat artwork.

With this change in electoral campaign marketing, footage from CNN made the rounds on social media after the hosts attempted to explain the context to its viewers.

Beyoncé gave Harris permission to use her song ˜Freedom in an election campaign video after the VP recently walked out to the powerful anthem at a staff meeting.
