Making a Boat in Minecraft
Newer players might not realize this, but a boat can be one of the first items you craft upon entering a new world. It only requires a single crafting resource and is available right from the start of Minecraft. You can see the Boat's exact crafting recipe below:
- At a crafting table, place five blocks in a "U" shape on the bottom and middle rows (leave the middle box empty)
And that's all it takes to make a boat. The material of the boat depends on what type of wood planks you use. You can use any wood plank to make a boat, but all six of the planks need to be from the same wood, otherwise the recipe won't go through. Obtaining planks is extremely simple, as you simply need to chop down some logs from a tree and place the logs in the middle of a crafting table. Then, you can grab the planks and start making your boat along with a base and any other wood-based item in Minecraft.
