Love Island UK season 8 alum has moved on from her past with former Strictly Come Dancing pro .
Tasha, 26, briefly dated Giovanni, 34, months before joining Love Island in summer 2022. Two years later, he was accused of bullying one of his past dance partners and subsequently denied the claims.
In a Sunday, November 17, profile with the Sunday Times, Tasha subtly dodged a reporter’s question about the dancer and his alleged scandal, solely referring to him as “somebody from years ago.”
Tasha, who is deaf and uses a cochlear implant, and Giovanni were reportedly involved in early 2022 but neither ever publicly addressed their relationship.
Giovanni was a Glitterball-winning pro dancer on the U.K.’s Strictly Come Dancing and, earlier this year, his former partner alleged that he was “inappropriate” and bullied her in the rehearsal studio. Strictly, which airs on the BBC, launched an investigation into his behavior before he was subsequently left off the pro lineup for the currently airing season.
Giovanni denied the accusations during a sit-down on the U.K.’s Lorraine last month.
“Bully is a big word and there’s a difference between being a bully and caring about what you do,” he said in October. “[The investigation results] didn’t find me a bully, which is exactly why I’m relieved now. I’m glad that the 11 allegations have been thrown out. At the beginning, there were very serious allegations, for instance threatening her or abusing her, and all of this has been taken out.”
Giovanni added, “I’m a strict teacher. I said it myself. I care about my job. I’m very, very competitive. I’ve won the Glitterball before [in 2021 with ]. It doesn’t mean that I have to win every time, but I will make sure that I will do everything to get the best out of you.”
Tasha, for her part, has moved on, finding love with following their rocky turn on Love Island UK season 8. They have since bought a home and adopted a puppy named Luna together.
Andrew, 29, is also Tasha’s biggest cheerleader as she, coincidentally, competes on the latest season of Strictly. She is partnered with pro dancer .
“Andrew’s the man I’m going to marry at some point,” she gushed to the Times, adding that Aljaz, 34, offered to choreograph their first dance. “I’ll say to Aljaz, keep it slow, nothing crazy.”
While Tasha and Andrew see their connection as endgame, they have no plans to relive their experience on the ITV dating show.
“It’s a TV show, isn’t it? It’s always going to be there. We look back and think we met each other and that’s all that matters,” Tasha said. “We’ve not watched it back because we don’t need to. Maybe when we’re 80.”
