Japanese electronics brand Casio has a storied history with not only watches, but calculators too. It created its first desk-sized calculator in 1954 and later went on to introduce the first personal calculator, the Casio Mini, in 1972, just two years before stepping into the watch industry with its CASIOTRON design that introduced an automatic calendar function. The company remains a key contributor to both spaces and is coming off of an exciting team-up with A.P.C., as well as many unique projects via its G-SHOCK brand too.
Now, Casio has turned back time as it pays homage to the Casio Mini with three new takes on the CA-53WB. A negative LCD screen is paired with a full keypad that sports the original font used by Casio, providing ample function and flavor to wearers. Beyond basic calculator functions like adding and subtracting, the watch comes with a dual time function, stopwatch, alarm and more. The new lineup's three retro-inspired colorways include a milky white, black and teal.
For those interested in shopping these three new Casio CA-53WBs, they are available now via Casio at a starting price of $36 USD.
