_J.L-A.L_ founder Jean-Luc Ambridge and Goldwin have an innate familiarity with one another. That's because Ambridge, who started his brand as a DIY side project during the pandemic-induced lockdowns of 2020 before it morphed into a full-fledged line, was one of the key figures in the launch of Goldwin's experimental Goldwin 0 project in 2022. Now, the synergy between _J.L-A.L_ and Goldwin is coming full circle with the release of a concise four-item collaboration that uses experimental fabrics and top-of-the-line GORE-TEX technology.
Produced in "Black Olive" and "Rain Washed" colorways, the _J.L-A.L_ x Goldwin collaboration comprises 3L GORE-TEX PRO shell jackets and pants and a crewneck sweatshirt. Drawing inspiration from skiwear, the jacket and pants feature _J.L-A.L_'s unique cutting style, with flowing, articulated panels allowing maximum flexibility and freedom of movement. Other features include double snap closures on wrist and ankle openings and zippered ventilation details. For its part, the crewneck is built of a high-quality jersey fabric with moisture-wicking and shape-retaining properties. Last but certainly not least, the partners have created a 3L jacket made from Spiber's signature Brewed Protein material, boasting geometric design lines, dressed in a rich forest green colorway that's a departure from the rest of the offerings, exclusive to the _J.L-A.L_ webstore, and, unlike the other offerings, available now.
Look for the _J.L-A.L_ x Goldwin collection to release on the Goldwin webstore come November 22, with the jacket priced at $1,200 USD, pants at $980 USD and crewneck at $220 USD. As mentioned above, the Spiber jacket is available via the _J.L-A.L_ webstore now, and retails for $1,498 USD.
