unearthed throwback photos with late mom for his upcoming documentary titled Prince William: We Can End Homelessness.

William, 42, shared some of the images via the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Instagram account on Sunday, October 27 — days before the film is set to premiere on ITV in the U.K. (The two-part documentary will be streaming in the United States via Disney+ starting Friday, November 1.)

“Homelessness has been an issue close to The Prince’s heart ever since visiting @passagecharity with his mother as a child,” the social media caption read. “Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far.”

The photos, snapped in June 1993, show William and Diana visiting with the homeless charity, The Passage. The young William, who would have been 11 at the time, was in a suit and tie as he stayed with his mother during the outing. ( was also seen in some of the photos, which were shown in a preview for the documentary.)

“My mother took me to The Passage. She took Harry and I both there,” he recalled in the film. “I’d never been to anything like that before and I was a bit anxious as to what to expect. My mother went about her usual part of making everyone feel relaxed and having a laugh and joking with everyone.”

William said it was “incredible” how the people were happy, despite their respective situations.

His upcoming documentary was filmed over a year-long period after William launched Homewards in June 2023, which is a five-year plan to end homelessness in the U.K.

“I have taken some inspiration and guidance from what my mother did, particularly with homelessness,” he said in a separate clip from the documentary. “I’ve slowly tried to work out, ‘What can I bring to the role and the platform that I have?’”

ITV has been rolling out clips from the two-part film ahead of its release later this week. In one short video, William responded to critics who questioned if he’s the “right person” to take on the goal of ending homelessness.

“Everyone having a right to a safe and stable home benefits us all. I come with no other agenda other than desperately trying to help people who are in need,” William said. “I see that as part of my role. Why else would I be here if I’m not using this role properly to influence and help people where I can? I like a big challenge. I do like that, but I can’t do it on my own.”
