Sandy Liang has spoken: it's a spy girl Spring/Summer 2025 season. The New York City-based it-girl imprint took to Lower Manhattan's Altman Building to unveil its first collection since Liang's motherhood, which sees the detail-oriented designer continue to craft her whimsical hyperfeminine universe, specifically envisioning the wardrobe of a Soho-stationed, satin-wearing secret agent.

"Being a princess is a job, just like being a spy girl is a job," Liang, who drew influence from animated series Totally Spies, writes in the collection notes.

"This season there’s something to wear to work, something to catch the subway in, to wear to a piano recital, to wear to the movies, something to live in, to create your own world in. Sandy Liang Spring/Summer 2025 is a secret agent, even if it’s just for her own secrets, and she’s always ready to go."

With all of the internet's favorite it-girls in the front row – Orion Carloto, Devon Lee Carlson and Sydney Carlson included – each of the womenswear looks spoke for itself, consisting of a colorful lineup of convertible garments.

"The skirts are short, the shorts are shorter. Sometimes, the skirts are shorts. A pale blue work jumpsuit is a dress. A metal tube of lipstick is a laser ... Metal can be soft. Practicality can be fantastic and fantasy can be practical."

Liang proves just that, amalgamating the spy girl's practical needs with her fantastical femininity. Pink proves the primary color across the captivating corporate-coded collection, which spans a bevy of floral-printed pieces, including a dress crafted fully from transparent flowers and a chain-mail set and floral appliqué dress.

Other standout pieces include a hyper-mini skirt equipped with a hidden internal zipped pocket, a tiny trench coat and a pageant sash dress, while footwear featured shoes held together by way of merely a ring and a new heeled court shoe. Accessories – or should we say, gadgets – span silver leather bags, and charms.

"Each piece is password protected; only you can unlock."
