Versatility is the crux of Jean Dawson's artistry. This year has seen quite a wide range of releases from the enigmatic artist thus far, including his first Spanish track "Divino Desmadre," as well as his contribution to A24's Talking Heads tribute album with "Swamp" and 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE's compilation album with "fIT chECK fREEsTYle." For the first time, Dawson is linking up with Lil Yachty for a more melodic cut dubbed "Die For Me."
"I bet somebody love me, no / After I've died, we'll see / Don't show up at my funeral / If you won't die for me," he croons on the chorus of the track, which heavily emphasizes Dawson's vocals that can often go overshadowed.
"Knowledge speaks and wisdom listens," Dawson noted in a statement. "I don’t know anything but this feeling I’m chasing and closer I get, the further it seems. I don’t want to talk anymore. When I was younger I was so excited, so talkative. Now I'm no longer excited, just obsessed. I no longer have words except for in the songs I write. I hope you feel something."
The track arrives on the heels of Dawson's latest tour and album announcement. "I'd like to formally announce Glimmer of God album 3 title and North American tour dates. Can’t wait to see you <33"
