BBC Breakfast hosts reveal Noddy Holder 'rowed' with his wife

BBC Breakfast Naga Munchetty shared a two-word response as she said ‘she won’ after co-star Charlie Stayt addressed an off-air row that happened between two guests.

During Thursday’s (December 12) episode of the hit BBC show, Naga and Charlie returned to our TV screens as they presented the day's top stories from the iconic red sofa.

For one segment the duo were joined by singer Noddy Holder,78 and his wife Suzan Price, 57, as he gave viewers a cancer update five years after being given 'six months to live'.

The former Slade frontman, famous for the line "it's Christmas" in the band's 1973 festive hit Merry Xmas Everybody, confirmed that he is doing much better however just moments before appearing on the show the star but heads with his wife over his wardrobe choice.

Noddy joked: “This morning we did have a domestic before we left the house.” Suzan replied: “We don’t need to tell people that.”

The singer explained: “I put this jumper on that I bought in Portugal but she said ‘you can’t wear that’”. Suzan turned to Noddy and said: “You can’t say that on live TV.”

Noddy continued: “This is the only time I have ever listened to her and not because I thought it wouldn't have worked but because I knew she was coming and she would have got the hump if I wore it.”

Suzan joked: “He’d look like someone’s nan if he wore it.” Noddy didn’t agree as he said: “Well that’s just what he thought and I think it was very trendy and nice.”

It was clear Suzan wasn’t keen on having the discussion on TV as she questioned: “I don’t know why we are saying it on live TV but you’re not wearing it so I was right.”

After the interview Charlie couldn’t help but address the playful exchange Noddy had with his wife.

Later on in the show Charlie turned to Naga and said: “I wonder if Noddy and his wife are arguing as they head home because they had a row on the way in, didn't they?”

Naga jumped in and replied: “Yeah over what he was wearing. She won and he accepted that she was right so it’s all good, all good in the world.”
