Hit BBC show is returning to screens 15 years after first episode
Angela Rippon’s Rip Off Britain is making a highly anticipated return to television after first captivating BBC viewers 15 years ago.
Airing in the mid-morning slot on BBC One, the show not only highlights stories of individuals who have fallen victim to scams but also educates viewers about current rip-offs to watch out for in the marketplace.
The cherished daytime programme, which debuted in 2009, has produced a remarkable 552 episodes and focuses on helping consumers who have been taken advantage of. Angela hosts the show alongside Gloria Hunniford and Julia Somerville.
BBC executives are now inviting members of the public to reach out for the upcoming 17th series, according to the Daily Mail.
An advert for the show reads: "If you've been struggling to get a complaint resolved and no one's giving you the answers you need, please let us know. And it could be your story that Angela Rippon, Gloria Hunniford and Julia Somerville investigate on the programme."

Angela who turned 80 left fans shocked. Social media lit up with reactions; one user exclaimed on X: "Angela 'Rips' Ripon looks amazing - she could pass for 60 easily #TheOneShow."
Another implored: "Angela, we need your beauty secret. You can't be 80!! #theoneshow," and another remark reinforced the sentiment: "Angela Rippon looking STUNNING for her 80 years."
The veteran TV presenter showcased her impressive dancing skills and charismatic personality as she competed on Strictly Come Dancing alongside pro dancer Kai Widdrington in the 2023 series of the BBC show, however, she did not make it to the final.
