BBC Strictly's Anton du Beke refuses to judge dance in show first as he reveals why
Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke struggled to judge the first performance on the BBC One dance competition.
Opeining the ballroom competition this week was This Morning's Dr Punam Krishan and her dance partner Gorka Marquez as they performd the jive to Lizzo's hit 2 Be Loved (Am I ready).
But the 58-year-old was left utterly speechless as he gazed at the Spanish dancer's topless washboard abs.
He was also stunned by Gorka Marquez's bare chest, completely sidestepping Dr Punam Krishan's dance performance. The pair had energetically jived to Lizzo's hit "2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)" but failed to impress the judges as much as their previous Bollywood routine.
Craig Revel Horwood described the dance as 'sloppy, messy, full of mistakes', while Motsi Mabuse felt the 'pressure got to you after last week', noting several errors in the performance.
Gorka and Punam's dance left Anton du Beke speechless (Image: PA)Anton, however, was more focused on Gorka's attire than the dance itself, jokingly remarking: "I was watching you dance and I thought to myself 'I've got a shirt like that'. It doesn't quite look the same on me as on you, Gorks."
He continued, deflecting from the dance critique: "They're right about what they say so I thought I wouldn't really talk about it. I thought I'd talk about something else. I tied my own tie you know, and I think it's gone rather well. I look forward to seeing you next week."

The audience at home seemed equally distracted, with viewers flocking to social media to discuss Gorka's look. One fan exclaimed: "Anton just talking about Gorka's shirt than the dance. Anton is just chaotic tonight and I bloody love it."
"I wasn't watching Dr Punam, my eyes were on Gorka and his chest. #Strictly," one viewer tweeted.
"Whoever is in charge of Gorka's wardrobe is definitely having fun in this series.... Thank you," a second fan gushed on social media.
A third added enthusiastically: "Gorka bringing back the open shirt and shiny pants whenever they might be in a bit of danger ... and I LOVE HIM FOR THAT."
