Outlander star pens emotional farewell after filming final ever scenes
As fans eagerly await the second half of Outlander season 7 on Starz this Autumn, the beloved cast is wrapping up their final scenes for season 8. Stars such as Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, who have brought Claire and Jamie Fraser to life, are preparing for an emotional goodbye after more than ten years together on-screen.
The show, inspired by Diana Gabaldon's novels, first captivated audiences in 2014. Lauren Lyle, who plays Marsali Fraser, received an outpouring of love from fans as she became the latest to bid farewell to the series.
Lauren took to Instagram to express her feelings, sharing a touching note alongside behind-the-scenes photos in costume and a sweet group selfie with her co-stars.
She also posted a picture of herself casually dressed, heading home on the train with a large bouquet of flowers, and captioned it: "Today was my last ever day on @outlander_starz."
