EastEnders fans all demand same thing from Sharon Watts after soap's prison twist

EastEnders: Chrissie Watts makes her return

EastEnders fans are clamouring for Sharon Watts (portrayed by Letitia Dean) to bring her prison ally Dor back to Walford after her stint behind bars.

Sharon found herself incarcerated for contempt of court, and during her time in the slammer, she encountered Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman), her one-time stepmother.

In a dramatic reunion after 19 years, Sharon and Chrissie shared what seemed like a genuine moment of reconciliation, with Sharon forgiving Chrissie for murdering her father Den Watts (Leslie Grantham).

However, Chrissie was duplicitously orchestrating a plot against Sharon, instructing another inmate to target her. Fortunately, Sharon has bonded with her cellmate Doreen (Sonia Ritter) and even started working alongside her in the laundry room.

When a hostile inmate named Angel began to intimidate Sharon, Chrissie deceptively intervened, hinting that now wasn't the right time for their scheme, reports the Daily Star.

Believing Chrissie was on her side, Sharon retreated to the laundry to lay low, only to be ambushed by threatening prisoners wielding a weapon as she begged for mercy.

Angel's use of the nickname "Princess" left Sharon puzzled, not realising Chrissie had instigated the attack.

A subsequent riot provided cover for Chrissie to seize Sharon, effectively taking her hostage in a separate cell.

Chrissie announced her revenge plan with a sinister edge, stating: "You know me, I never forget a grudge." She then menacingly presented her weapon, vowing to exact retribution on Sharon.

Yet, amidst the gripping storyline and prison tumult, the character Doreen has managed to captivate EastEnders watchers, with numerous fans clamouring for her to become a regular face on the soap.

On social media platform X, a viewer exclaimed: "Can someone break ar Dor out of prison and make her a main character Eastenders." (sic)
