A Place In The Sun host's five-word response to buyer's cheeky 'kiss' offer

APITS: Guest asks Ben if he's been kissed on TV before

In the recent instalment of Channel 4's property show A Place in the Sun, host Ben Hillman was taken by surprise. The episode saw property expert Ben assisting Sandra and Gary, a married couple, in scouring the picturesque Spanish Costa Calida for their dream home.

With £90,000, Sandra and Gary had clear stipulations: they wanted a space with an inviting outdoor area, two cosy bedrooms, and top-notch kitchen amenities. As their property hunt culminated, one particular abode seemed to enchant the couple completely.

The promising outside space boasted access to a lavish selection of over 20 pools, but it was the propertys price tag that truly astounded Gary.

Ben introduced the home, saying: "It is two bedrooms, it's not two bathrooms this time. But, you've probably noticed a little staircase on the side, taking you to a roof terrace."

Gary, gobsmacked by what was on offer, expressed his delight, remarking: "I'm flabbergasted, it looks amazing. The surroundings are fantastic," reports the Mirror.

When Ben disclosed that the price was a staggering £30,000 less than their maximum budget, coming in at just shy of £61,000, the couple's reaction was one of visible astonishment.

Gary quipped in amazement: "Steady, what? ! Ben, have you ever been kissed on telly?"

Ben couldnt contain his mirth and energetically responded: "I'm always up for firsts Gary! Bring it on."

Even as they continued to absorb the stunningly low cost of the property, both Sandra and Gary admitted they had assumed it would exceed their financial limit.

As they explored the interior, their high commendations were unwavering. Seeking their final thoughts, Ben asked for their views, eliciting the response from Sandra: "It was great!"

Ultimately, the couple set their sights on the Golf Resort Apartment and told the Channel 4 celebrity they were ready to bid £58,000.

When Ben rang up the estate agent, he had to break it to them that their offer was turned down, but a counteroffer of £59,200.11 was on the table.

Probing them on the revised figure, Sandra cheekily quipped to Gary: "It sounds like you're getting your chequebook out! " The duo were over the moon as they agreed to the new price.
