The Teacher season 2 cast: Who is in the Channel 5 drama?
The Teacher starts on Channel 5 tonight, September 9, and the psychological thriller sees a student murdered. A dedicated art teacher quickly becomes caught up in a web of desire and lies.
With her own marriage at the centre of the drama, she struggles to balance her personal and professional life. The synopsis reads: "Unhappily married art teacher Dani Oxley starts an affair with colleague Jimmy while they are supervising a school trip to an adventure centre.
"After leaving her students unattended to meet Jimmy in a boathouse, Dani gets back to find one of her charges is missing." The second instalment in the anthology series is made up of four episodes.
They will air across consecutive nights this week, with the finale taking place on Thursday, September 12. On Channel 5's exciting autumn drama slate, Head of Drama and Deputy Chief Content Officer, Sebastian Cardwell said: “We’re riding high on drama at Channel 5 and have an upcoming autumn schedule packed full of new series that our audience can get their teeth stuck into.

The Teacher stars Will Mellor and Kara Tointon (Image: CHANNEL 5) Dani - Kara TointonDani Oxley, a teacher who is unhappy in her marriage, is played by Kara Tointon.
Kara is a 41-year-old English actress who viewers will recognise as Dawn Swann from EastEnders.
In 2010, she won the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing with professional partner Mark Ramprakash.
In November 2018 she gave birth to her first son with her then fiancé Marius Jensen. In January 2021, their second son was born.
Jimmy- Will MellorJimmy is Dani's colleague with whom she has an affair, and he is played by Will Mellor.
Will is a 48-year-old singer, actor and model known for his roles in Hollyoaks and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
More recently, he starred in Coronation Street as Harvey Gaskell.
He is married to actress Michelle McSween and they have two children.
Tim - Emmett J ScanlanTim is played by Emmett J Scanlan, a 45-year-old Irish actor known for his roles in Hollyoaks and The Fall.
He has since become a household name for Kin, The Tower and Ten Percent.
The star is married to actress Claire Cooper and he is a father-of-three.
Sienna - Joni MorrisSienna is played by Joni Morris, who is known for starring in the recurring role of Laylo in Foundation.
She has also starred in Delinquent Season and One Night in Dublin.
Matt - Forrest BothwellMatt is played by Forrest Bothwell, a Belfast-based Irish actor who is a current member of the National Youth Theatre.
His previous credits include the Netflix hit series The Gentlemen, World on Fire and A Kind of Spark.

DI Calgetti - Gwynne McElveenThe detective is played by Gwynne McElveen, a 50-year-old American-born Irish actress.
The second youngest of five children, her family moved to Ireland when she was a child.
She is best known for her stage work but has starred in Nightflyers and Striking Out.
Nina - Niamh McCannNina is played by Niamh McCann, a 53-year-old Irish actress known for her role as Maura in Little Roy.
Her other credits include River City, Brooklyn and The House Across the Street.
