GMB: Susanna Reid weighs in on school absence fines

Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid returned to the ITV studio after taking her extended break for the summer. 

The TV star was very much welcomed back by fans as she joined her co-star and pal Ed Balls to discuss some of the news highlights over the weekend.

While Susanna looked glamorous as ever in a bright blue suit with a white scarf tied around her neck, paired with large framed glasses, fans couldn't help but realise the outfit seemed very familiar.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one user wrote: "Why is Susanna dressed like Austin Powers?", to which one user responded with laughing emojis as a photo of Austin Powers was shared to the feed.

Another shared a photo of Susanna and Ed, writing: "Why is Susanna Reid dressed as Austin Powers this morning?"

One cheekily responded: "Austin Powers in a wig?" giving a subtle nod at Jimmy Tarbuck telling Susanna that she is "Piers Morgan in a wig".

Another added: "Spot on!"

And it seems like Susanna loved the teasing, sharing the tweet asking why Susanna was dressed like Austin Powers onto her own feed to make light of the resemblance.

Susanna thrilled fans as she shared a snap of her return with Ed alongside the caption "back to school".

The pair were welcomed back onto the show by fans as they responded to the snaps of them both.

One user wrote: "Welcome back Susanna and Ed, it's great to see you both back on GMB, I've missed you both so much."

While another said: "Looking gorgeous as ever and on form." A third wrote: "Missed you Susanna, hope you had a good holiday. Thanks for always cheering us up."
