Good Morning Britain star announces lengthy break from ITV show as fans left gutted
Good Morning Britain's Laura Tobin announced she would be taking a brief hiatus from her weather presenting duties on the ITV programme to enjoy some well-deserved downtime.
During Tuesday's episode, presenters Kate Garraway and Sean Fletcher passed the baton to the meteorologist for the upcoming week's forecast.
As Kate lamented the potential end of summer before it had truly started, Laura confessed she wasn't bothered as she was heading off to sunnier climes, reports the Mirror.
"I was trying to wear everything summery quickly before it has to go back in the suitcase under the bed," Kate admitted. To which, Laura replied: "You know what Kate? I actually don't care because I'm going on holiday tomorrow."

Laura told the GMB hosts she was going on holiday (Image: ITV)But Laura was in good spirits as she continued to gloat over missing the rain while she jetted off abroad. She explained: "I'm going to a warm place. For the next 10 days, it's going to rain here, sorry about that. Isn't it crazy, it's almost like I knew!"
While it is unknown who will be standing in to replace laura for her lengthy absence, fans on social media admitted that she would be missed. Posting on X/Twitter, one user said: "Have a great holiday Laura."
Another threatened to turn off, saying: "As you are off for the next 10 days could you make sure the high standards are kept up by having @Ruth_ITV in. She has great diction, never mumbles or stumbles and is very pretty. Qualities not attributed to your normal stand in. If it's not Ruth, I shall be watching @skytv."

Elsewhere on GMB, Sean Fletcher was brought on last minute as Kate Garraway announced that her regular co-star, Richard Madeley, was "poorly" this morning.
As the show opened, Garraway promptly addressed the situation, saying: "Good morning! Now if you were expecting to see Richard Madeley here, I think Richard Madeley was expecting to be here as well! He's feeling a bit poorly this morning, so we've got lovely Sean, which is fantastic."
Fans were delighted with the change, as they called for him to become a permanent fixture on the ITV breakfast show.
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV from 6am.
