This Morning: Rochelle Humes says 'my heart is broken'

Emotions ran high on This Morning as host Rochelle Humes admitted: "My heart is broken."

The conversation turned heartfelt when Rochelle opened up about her children while discussing The Secret World of Children, Channel 5's new documentary-style programme that explores what happens when kids navigate the adult world.

With three young participants from the show joining her, Rochelle was visibly moved by their stories.

She also shared personal insights from her own life, particularly about attending her children's school events. Rochelle revealed that comments like "She's a good friend" resonate more with her than academic achievements and often bring her to tears.

Rochelle expressed: "They're the bits that make me really emotional. Best cleaner if any of my three got best cleaner, honestly, I would take that!", reports the Mirror.

The emotion peaked when Theodora, one of the children from the show, spoke about her growth, saying: "I think [my parents] have learned I can stand up more than they thought I would."

"And that I am really true to what I believe in and what I believe in is what I'll do. I try to teach other people to do things their way but also try to do it respectfully and kindly."

Co-host Joel could only respond with "That's nice!" as Rochelle, touched by the moment, exclaimed: "Oh my gosh. My heart is broken," clutching her chest in a poignant display of emotion.

Rochelle and her husband Marvin Humes are proud parents to three children: Alaia-Mai, aged 11, Valentina, seven, and Blake, who is three years old.

Rochelle and Marvin Humes couldn't hold back their tears as they bid farewell to their eldest daughter, Alaia-May, embarking on a school trip to France. The emotional moment turned the Humes household upside down according to Rochelle, as she described the scene, saying: "We have had so many tears this morning and I have only literally just stopped crying."

She continued with a mother's worry, "We have just waved Alaia off on the school coach, she's going to France until Friday evening. I will never get used to this, like ever, ever, ever. She was fine and she was with her bestie and they have a matching tracksuit on and matching hairstyles and everything. Then she sat on the coach and I could see through the window she was crying."
