ITV Lorraine's Ranvir Singh left puzzled as Ross King shares cryptic update

Ross King explains absence on Lorraine

ITV's Lorraine correspondent Ross King has finally spoken up about his recent absence from the show. Ranvir Singh, who's substituting for the main host Lorraine Kelly on her summer break, attempted to unravel the mystery behind Ross's disappearance during a chat with the LA-based reporter.

Ross teased that he'd been on a "top secret" mission around Loch Ness in Scotland, leaving co-host Ranvir in a cloud of mystery. He offered only elusive clues and made a playful James Bond-like gesture with his hands, signifying a gun.

During Monday's show, Ranvir probed Ross about his whereabouts. She asked eagerly: "Ross is back for us and he's live in LA. Now, you've been away for a bit what have you been up to?"

"I've been away filming a top secret assignment, I can give you a little clue, this is actually me flying a plane up near Lock Ness," Ross King disclosed, whilst speaking live from Los Angeles. Ross continued with a tease: "That's all I'm going to tell you," reports the Mirror.

He added, "I can't tell you anything more about it. Other than that but I will be back later with some very serious new on Matthew Perry, I will bring you the latest on that and it's very sad."

Ranvir responded with curiosity: "You're being very mysterious, I want to dig more into what you were doing above Loch Ness."

Staying enigmatic, Ross subtly hummed the iconic James Bond theme and gestured as if holding a gun.

The host erupted: "Ohh I want to know what's going on."

Ross indeed returned later with an update on the late Friends icon, sharing new insights into his death at his Los Angeles residence in October 2023, where he was found with high levels of ketamine.

In a recent shocking development, it was disclosed that Matthew's personal assistant and two doctors were among five people arrested following his death last year from the "acute effects of ketamine."

Delving into more distressing details, Ross cautioned: "I'm sure there'll be a lot more to come on this," before disclosing the actor's final words that have now emerged via court documents.

Ross stated that official reports quoted Matthew telling his assistant, who is among the detained: "Shoot me up a big one," just prior to his death.

Lorraine is on ITV weekdays at 9am
