Virgin River chaos as Alexandra Breckenridge almost misses final day on season 6

Virgin River Holiday Episodes: Teaser trailer

Virgin River’s Alexandra Breckenridge has shared a hilarious video revealing why she was late to her final session for the hit Netflix show’s next outing.

The actress took to Instagram after being left red-faced when she accidentally got herself stuck in her family’s chicken coop.

Captured on video by her husband Casey Hooper and their two children, Alexandra looked rather sheepish trapped behind wire with her beloved hens.

“Oh, you had to get the phone!” she exclaimed with an embarrassed smile when she realised she was on camera.

Explaining the awkward situation, she went on: “I came in here to clean the waters out because they always make the water dirty, and give them nice tomato treats.

“And this thing closed behind me,” Alexandra added, making an annoyed gesture at the coop’s door.

“And I was yelling for you. And you know what? I even yelled at a man who was going by on his golf cart and he didn’t stop!”

Alexandra looked completely shocked at the man’s rudeness while her husband Casey simply laughed.

“He didn’t even look at me!” the actress continued. “And I was yelling at him! What is wrong with people? Who is that person? What a jerk!”

The Netflix star wasted no time getting out of the coop once the door had been unlatched and she explained the lock is missing a string that would have ensured her freedom.

She shared some more insight in the caption, revealing she nearly missed out on a crucial session for getting Virgin River’s upcoming sixth season ready for its release.

“I got locked in the coop today,” Alexandra wrote. “I yelled and yelled for help.

“Now we know I can’t be heard from in our house. [crying laughter emoji]

“I was even late for my very last session of ADR for Virgin River season 6 due to the debacle.”

ADR (or Automated Dialogue Replacement) is the process of re-recording lines of dialogue for scenes where it’s too difficult to hear the actors due to background noise or other factors.

It’s usually one of the final parts of production for films or a season of television, so the fact Alexandra had her last recording session recently is definitely an exciting update for fans of the popular small-town drama.

Season six was previously believed to be releasing in early 2025, but, thanks to an update from Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, fans now know to expect new episodes to drop before the end of the year.

Virgin River is available to stream on Netflix. Season 6 will be released in 2024.
