Channel 4 confirms shocking show's return despite viewers 'threatening to call Ofcom'
The Channel 4 programme, Open House: The Great Sex Experiment, is confirmed to be returning for a third series.
The provocative show invites couples to explore open relationships at a luxury retreat, with the aim of determining whether sexual encounters with others can bolster their relationship.
On Monday 12 August, it was confirmed that the show would be returning with a new location and a new open relationships expert. There will also be some 'exciting format twists.'
The programme assesses couples' readiness for an open relationship and sets them tasks that progressively push their boundaries, culminating in sex with someone other than their partner.

Chanice commented: "I think we just want to play, I'm just going with the flow."
The pair invited everyone upstairs to the bedroom, with Richardo adding: "We just invited everyone at the party to the after party."
"There are so many experienced people. It's just like...take us in."
The participants were seen heading into the bedroom and it wasn't long before they began undressing and partaking in sexual activities.

Chanice revealed: "I didn't expect that. Once the sex had started, it was difficult to get involved. Obviously they're pre-occupied and you don't want to just jump in, if that makes sense."
Subsequently, Chanice decided to partake, with a visibly uneasy Richardo demonstrating greater reluctance than his partner did. At the time, audiences swiftly took to X to air their unease regarding the sequence, yet humorously added they would continue to tune in.
A viewer commented: "I must report this filth to Ofcom. I'd better watch next week to see if it gets any worse."
