Netflix's Love Is Blind UK hosts tease one character as 'gift that keeps on giving'

Love Is Blind UK Official Teaser

Love Is Blind UK has finally landed on Netflix, and hosts Matt and Emma Willis have teased some intriguing details about the contestants.

The dynamic duo, who tied the knot back in 2008, spoke to the Daily Express and other media outlets before the much-anticipated premiere of the British spin-off.

Netflix has lifted the lid on the diverse lineup of love-seekers, which includes Dental Nurse Catherine, Funeral Director Freddie, Product Design Manager Sam, and Social Worker Ella.

While the pair kept quiet on any specifics, they did hint at one standout participant, dubbing them "the gift that keeps on giving".

When quizzed on whether the series had painted anyone as the villain, Matt Willis clarified that no single contestant was cast in that light, instead highlighting the show's most enthralling characters.

"I think there's a character within the show that is the gift that keeps on giving. But they're not villainous, they're just a fantastic character," Matt revealed.

"But I don't think this is the show that wants to villainise someone," he continued. "There's not a bad bone in their body... They just really want love.

"Plus, I don't think they'd get cast... The casting is so rigorous. It's really pure people, you know."

Touching on the couples' journey through the series, Emma weighed in: "I think everybody has a bump, but how big that bump is and how they navigate those bumps is what's different."

Matt enthused: "I think that's what is so brilliant about this show. You really see that, however perfect something seems, everybody brings their own baggage with them.

"Whatever that is and however deep it is, it is there. And that will come to the surface at some point in a relationship and you see that and that's what is so great about it."

He also observed: "I think with any relationship, when things are good, things are good. But when you hit tough times and there's a rock in the road, that's when the real test in the relationship happens.

"And I think you'll see moments like that in the show. That's when you're like, 'How strong is this?' and then you really see it."

Love Is Blind UK premieres Wednesday, August 7 on Netflix. Part 2 will be released on August 14, followed by Part 3 on August 21.
