Emmerdale: Belle tells Tom she is leaving the village

Tom King may have spine-chillingly hinted at a possible death in Emmerdale.

The villain continued to paint himself as the aggrieved party, while his uncle Jimmy King encouraged him to afford Belle Dingle some breathing room following her decision to terminate their matrimony.

Unknown to Jimmy and the other villagers is that she has been enduring abuse from Tom for an extended period, encompassing both mental and physical torment.

Tom exerted coercive control over Belle, from deceiving and alienating her to dominating every facet of her existence, eventually escalating to violence. Belle reached her breaking point a fortnight ago and left Tom, though she's kept the rationale for their separation under wraps.

While Jimmy coaxed his nephew not to lose heart and advocated giving Belle space, Tom took a jab at her for abandoning their matrimonial vowshis remarks potentially containing a sinister foreshadowing of what's to come.

In ignorance of the grim reality, Jimmy held out hope for reconciliation, prompting Tom to assert he "knew what he needed to do". The day prior, he had stealthily entered Belles abode in her absence, leading to speculation about his intentions, reports the Mirror

On Friday (August 2), Tom ominously remarked to Jimmy: "We vowed to be together forever. Til death us do part."

His delivery was bone-chillingcould this imply that danger looms for Belle upon her homecoming to the village? As Tom's departure from the show looms, will he meet a tragic end or could Belle be the one to face a fatal twist?

After surreptitiously entering a house he should be avoiding, he hid behind a wall as Aaron Dingle drove by. As he made his escape, he appeared quite satisfied, smirking at the drill and later remarking about his ability to make a home anywhere.

His strange behaviour, sneaking into the house and his cryptic comment led some viewers to speculate about his eerie next move, which could spell trouble for Belle. Fans theorised that he may have used the drill to create peepholes in the house, while others wondered if Tom planned to secretly live in the house without Belle's knowledge.

" while another speculated: "Why do I get the feeling that Tom is going to do a Lachlan and live in the loft, watching Belle!
