The plot followed a group of seven outcasts called The Losers' Club who are terrorised by a scary being, namely Pennywise and are confronted by their own demons in the process.

The success of the first film paved the way for a sequel called It Chapter Two which released two years later in 2019.

Despite getting mixed reviews, the second film was still a box office success as it grossed $473.1 million worldwide, against a budget of $79 million.

Welcome To Derry will be available to watch on HBO in 2025.
