Apple TV+ will be adding an intense psychological thriller to its books, sharing a sneak peek of what’s to come.

The streamer is to be home of an “atmospheric, character-driven” thriller Before which stars award-winning actor and comedian Billy Crystal.

Known for his work on When Harry Met Sally, Monsters Inc and The Princess Bride, just to name a few, Crystal is also listed as an executive producer.

The other executive producers behind Before are creator Sarah Thorp and Oscar award-winner Eric Roth who was behind Forrest Gump, Dune and A Star Is Born.

Excitement is already building around the 10-part series which will premiere on Friday, October 25, with the first two episodes dropped on its release date.

From then on, a single instalment will come out weekly on the streamer until its finale air date on Friday, December 20.

Before will delve into the story of child psychiatrist Eli (played by Billy Crystal) who is grieving after recently losing his wife Lynn.

At work, Eli comes across a troubled youngster who “seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s past”.

Its description continues: “As Eli attempts to help Noah, their mysterious bond deepens.”

There will be other familiar faces starring opposite Crystal in Apple TV+’s upcoming drama.

Multi-Emmy and Tony Award winner Judith Light, who has been in Transparent, Ugly Betty and Who’s The Boss, will be starring as Lynn.

Meanwhile, Peter Pan and Wendy star Jacobi Jupe is to play Noah, with The Flight Attendant’s Rosie Perez and Orange Is The New Black’s Maria Dizzia also in the cast.

Before premieres on Friday, October 25, on Apple TV+.
