Dermot O'Leary and Rochelle Humes graced the screens as the latest additions to the This Morning summer line-up on Monday.

Among the guests was vet Scott Miller who had come to discuss how pet owners can protect their animals during hot weather and the conversation took an endearing turn when he revealed that the adorable rescue dog Mango, present with him on set, had found a permanent home - with Scott himself.

"I am so in love it's insane," gushed Scott about the cocker spaniel as he encouraged viewers to share similar stories. Dermot said: "That dog doesn't know he's born, he's going to have a lovely life. Look at him so cute."

An equally smitten Rochelle couldn't resist commenting: "The way Mango's looking at you Scott while you're talking is the most adorable thing - look, look!"

Scott went on to commend the Dogs Trust for their efforts to find the perfect owner for each animal. He shared that Mangogot exactly that - a forever home, reports the Mirror.

"The attention to detail to make sure the dog is given the best owner possible, because what they want to do is to make sure that that forever home is forever. That's exactly what Mango's got with me. I'm forever grateful. Thank you Dog's Trust," Scott gratefully acknowledged.

Viewers were quick to respond and were generous with praises for Mango. Tweets poured in; one viewer exclaimed: "Oh my god. I am in love with Mango." Another admirer chimed in: "Mango is gorgeous."

A third added: "@thismorning that has totally melted my heart - the way Mango is looking at the vet - his new owner, he knows he's been rescued and the look of love is incredible, their love is so pure, why can't humans be more like this."

Earlier in the show, Rochelle was caught in an embarrassing moment when she momentarily forgot her wedding anniversary. Dermot had enquired about her weekend activities and after a brief struggle to recall, it finally dawned on her.

The 35-year-old hastily acknowledged: "Oh I actually celebrated my anniversary with my husband, sorry about that. It was my 12th wedding anniversary and we went away with no kids - thank you mum."

Dermot playfully remarked: "I love the fact you nearly forgot about this."

To which Rochelle responded: "I know but things happen so quick."
