This Morning's Alison Hammond halts live show as she makes awkward apology to co-star

TM: Alison apologises after forgetting to bring guest her boots

This Morning host Alison Hammond suffered an awkward moment during Wednesday's episode when she was telling viewers what was coming up later in the programme.

Revealing that The Speakman's would help fans overcome their summer phobias, Alison experienced a somewhat mortifying realisation.

Halting the broadcast for a moment, she confessed forgetting to bring something in, once again.

After Nik and Eva had told people what they could help with, Alison announced: "Can I just say, I've still got your boots at my house! Literally, she stayed at my house and left her boots."

She then apologised, saying: "I keep meaning to bring them back, I'm so sorry, it's just come to mind."

Despite the sudden confession, Eva took the revelation well as she reassured Alison, saying; "It's alright!"

Alison's co-host Dermot O'Leary added his own playful tease into the situation, suggesting that Alison had used the boots as flower pots, reports the Mirror.

Eva responded light-heartedly, adding: "I was going to say! I bet you've planted something in my boots haven't you?!"

Yet, despite Dermot's cheeky jibes Alison laughed off the accusation as they soon moved on to discuss the day's headlining stories.

In a refreshing twist, Wednesday's episode kicked off differently as three beatboxers, known as The Beat Box Collective, performed the well-recognised This Morning theme song live on set.

Dermot and Alison were clearly impressed by this modern take on the theme tune. Dermot even hailed it as the best version he'd ever heard.

To top it all off, the hosts tried their hand at beatboxing under the expert guidance of The Beat Box Collective, making it quite an eventful morning for viewers.

Dermot has resumed his role as host after being covered by Joel Dommett for the last couple of days.

The shuffle in presenters has been prompted by regular hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard taking their summer break.

In the weeks to come, viewers of ITV will be greeted by a parade of familiar faces leading the show including Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle, Rylan Clark, Rochelle Humes, and Sian Welby.

Martin Frizell, the editor of This Morning, expressed his excitement concerning the summer line-up stating: "Viewers will not want to miss a moment this summer! The shows will be packed and whatever the weather, the team in front of the cameras and behind will deliver plenty of content to keep the nation smiling."

This Morning contimues weekdays on ITV from 10am.
