This Morning's style guru Lisa Snowdon delivered some candid fashion truths on the show, causing a stir among viewers.

In a segment with hosts Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond, Lisa shared her modelling tips but raised eyebrows when she criticised skinny jeans just as Alison was sporting a pair. She warned that such jeans accentuate every "lump and bump", showcasing a more forgiving wide-legged jean on her model, Heather.

Lisa remarked: "Heather, like most of us girls, loves the idea of a white jean, but oh my gosh, they're so tricky to wear."

"Getting the right fit, the right shape. Stay away from a skinny jean who looks good in a skinny jean apart from Elizabeth Hurley?" Alison chimed in, saying: "Ooh, I do like a skinny jean!" to which Lisa responded: "Yeah, but it just shows all the lumps and bumps that aren't there."

Lisa then swiftly changed the subject, complimenting the cream jeans fitting Heather perfectly around the waist. However, eagle-eyed fans didn't miss the apparent dig at Alison, taking to Twitter to voice their reactions, reports the Daily Star.

One viewer tweeted: "'Nobody looks good in a skinny jean' erm isn't Alison wearing skinny jeans Lis?" Another added: "Alison's in skinny jeans... awkward."

Lisa, a denim devotee, took to Instagram to express her love for jeans, stating: "For everyone who knows me knows that denim is my thing! My first true love it has to be said..."

She continued to extol the virtues of the perfect pair, saying, "Having the perfect pair of jeans will see you through any occasion. They're like a best friend, always there for you. Reliable, always have your back (and bum), make you feel fantastic, look fantastic and you can take them anywhere!"

In other news from This Morning, Dermot O'Leary revealed his burning question to Isla Traquair, the show's roving reporter who travelled to Tenerife in the search for missing teen Jay Slater.

He admitted to asking off-air, "Isla, from the show, went out there. I was talking to her off-mic last week and I said, 'Why haven't they found him?'" after human remains were discovered near where Jay's phone signal was last detected.

Isla had explained the difficulty of the search, telling Dermot, "She said until you're there it's hard to appreciate just how hostile that environment is to try and find someone, it's a needle in a haystack."
