The Yorkshire Vet stars Mr and Mrs Green are returning to the small screen and fans are curious to know their ages. 

Married farmers Steve and Jean Green first found fame when they appeared as regular clients of iconic vet Peter Wright on the Channel 5 show The Yorkshire Vet. 

Now, the pair are taking centre stage in their own two-part series, The Yorkshire Vet: At Home With The Greens which sees the traditionalists looking for new methods to keep their farm afloat. 

How old are Mr and Mrs Green from The Yorkshire Vet? 

Steve Green is Britain’s oldest farmer at 95 years old but has previously said that “working on my farm keeps me young” and doesn’t have any plans of retiring. 

He is helped out around the farm by his 72-year-old wife Jean who is often seen on The Yorkshire Vet wearing baggy T-shirts with slogans.

Jean was 27 when she first met Steve who had employed her brother at the time of him asking his future wife out on a date. 

Just three months late and despite the 23-year age gap, Steve and Jean got married, welcomed daughter Sarah and have been inseparable ever since. 

The couple even decided to renew their vows in 2020 with the heartwarming ceremony captured on The Yorkshire Vet. 

Steve told his beloved: “Ever since we met 40 years ago you’ve made me the happiest man in the world. You mean everything.

She then replied: “When I set eyes on you it was such a magical moment. I will love you forever.”

At Home With The Greens will not only see the married duo looking forward but looking back, reminiscing about when they had to sell their herd of milking cows. 

Peter Wright will be making a special appearance to treat their calf for a case of ringworm and Matt Smith will be visiting a younger North Yorkshire farmer to check on a pregnant longhorn cow. 

So there will be plenty to delve into when the mini-series begins but are Steve and Jean really going to be able to move with the times to ensure their farm’s future? 

The Yorkshire Vet: At Home With The Greens airs on Tuesday, July 16, at 8pm on Channel 5.
