KLM has outlined plans for its summer 2024 schedules, with seat capacity up around 7 per cent on 2023 and “almost matching pre-Covid levels”.

The carrier will operate flights to a total of 92 European and 63 intercontinental destinations this summer, with increased frequencies to a number of destinations including Edinburgh, Newcastle, Glasgow and Southampton.

It has already been reported that the carrier will add an evening service between Southampton and Amsterdam this summer, bringing the route to three flights per day.

In fact all four of the UK routes above will gain an extra service, with Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle all moving to five flights per day for summer 2024.

KLM will also increase service to Jakarta (in combination with Kuala Lumpur), Denpasar (in combination with Singapore), Taipei, Hong Kong, Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles, and said that capacity to North American destinations is currently above pre-pandemic levels.

Within Europe the airline will increase flight frequencies to destinations including Billund, Stavanger, Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Prague, Bologna, Florence and Genoa.

Finally KLM has confirmed plans to resume daily service to Tel Aviv from 1 April. The route will operate with a stopover in Larnaca until at least 19 May, and the carrier said that it was “closely monitoring the security situation in Israel”.
