– On Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray addressed some of Jon Moxley’s recent comments in an interview with The New York Post, where Moxley spoke about his vision and goals for AEW. Bully Ray also spoke about AEW needing changes in light of declining viewership and ratings. Below are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com):
Bully Ray on Jon Moxley’s recent comments: “On the surface, this is about Moxley and his crew, and what’s happening in front of the camera, but I think it’s more indicative about what’s happening backstage within AEW, and I think Moxley’s comments point the finger at the person who needs to be held most accountable.”
On changes needing to be made in AEW: “Yes, AEW just secured a $185 million a year deal. That’s awesome — great, congratulations. At the end of the day it’s about business and earning money. But when do you stop patting yourself on the back for that and start looking at the arenas, the houses, the ratings, and all of the numbers that are indicative of viewership going down?
At AEW Full Gear 2024, Jon Moxley will defend his title against Orange Cassidy. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 23 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. It will be broadcast live on pay-per-view. Also on tonight’s Dynamite, Moxley and the Death Riders plan to seize the Superstation. The show will be broadcast live on TBS starting at 8:00 pm EST.
