– WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes joined Busted Open Radio yesterday ahead of WWE SummerSlam. During his appearance, Cody discussed WWE’s leadership and noting how the best thing to happen to WWE is having a wrestler in charge with Triple H, who is WWE’s Chief Creative Officer. Cody Rhodes said on Triple H(via Fightful):
“I like everything about how wrestling at WWE is currently laid out. Probably the best thing ever is that there is a wrestler in charge. I’ve always heard the argument, ‘Wrestlers shouldn’t be in the office.’ Eh, it depends on where they are in the office, right? Who they were trained by. Somebody that has been to the top, who has been in the rare air and can tell you, ‘this is the steps you could take to get there, this should be the steps you take.’ I think that’s such a helpful thing. We’re going on two years of Triple H being in charge of creative at WWE, that’s a great thing.”
At tonight’s WWE SummerSlam, Cody Rhodes defends his title against Solo Sikoa in a Bloodlines Rules Match. The event will be held at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. The event will be broadcast live on Peacock.
