LIV Golf's Sergio Garcia has broken his silence after announcing his return to the DP World Tour.
Garcia resigned his membership of the European tour in 2023 after an arbitration panel ruled DP World Tour had the right to fine players who competed in LIV events without permission.
Ahead of his 2025 return, Garcia is believed to have settled his debts and paid the outstanding fine imposed by the organisation.
Speaking to Golf Magic, the Spanish ace said: "Yeah it's all confirmed, I am a member of the DP World Tour again so very happy about it.
"I'm really excited to be back being part of the DP World Tour and excited to play a few events next year, support the Tour and obviously have the possibility of being eligible for the Ryder Cup. It's now just time to play good golf and do some nice things."
Returning to the European circuit will make Garcia eligible to feature in Luke Donald's team for the 2025 Ryder Cup.
Donald was said to have been in contact with Garcia earlier this year about the possibility of securing a return.
Should Garcia be successful in his return to golf's primary team event, he'll match the record number of appearances in the event for a European.
Sir Nick Faldo and Lee Westwood both currently have 11 Ryder Cup appearances to their name, with Garcia at the moment one behind on 10.
Commenting on Garcia's possible inclusion in the team, Donald stated earlier this year: "He thinks he can play. He wants to play.
"I don’t think he has talked to me about being an assistant captain, but again, he would have to re-join the tour for him to be eligible. He’s certainly very interested in doing that.
"He understands everything that’s involved and again, the decision has to go to him whether he’s prepared to do all that. But certainly we’ve had that discussion."
