Chelsea dropped another two points in the Premier League after being held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace. The west London giants have failed to win in each of their last four top flight matches and are now nine points behind runaway leaders Liverpool after playing two games more.
Chelsea took just 14 minutes to break the deadlock against Palace as Jadon Sancho outwitted home defender Chris Richards on the halfway line and ran the ball into the penalty area before picking out Cole Palmer, who swept the ball past Dean Henderson.
But they failed to kill the game off in the second period, with Jean-Philippe Mateta bagging an equaliser late on. And Express Sport brings you the player ratings from the match.
Chelsea player ratings vs Crystal Palace
Robert Sanchez: 5
Was recalled to the side after being dropped in favour of Filip Jorgensen for the trip to Ipswich last time out. Struggled with his distribution and put his team under pressure when he kicked the ball straight to Daniel Munoz midway through the first half. Won't be guaranteed a start next time out.
Malo Gusto: 6
Was quiet for most of the game, with much of Palace’s attacking play coming down the opposite flank. Was pinned back by the Eagles and didn't threaten going forward.
Josh Acheampong: 6
Was handed his first Premier League start at the heart of the Chelsea defence. Can also play on the right and could be a big player for Enzo Maresca in the years to come. Will be happy with his performance on the big stage.
Levi Colwill: 7
Guided Josh Acheampong through the match and repelled most things that came his way. Made an outstanding block to divert an effort from Jean-Philippe Mateta but couldn't help his team grab a clean sheet.
Marc Cucurella: 5
Didn’t get too many opportunities to get forward and allowed Palace to get too many crosses in from the right.
Enzo Fernandez: 6
Controlled the game in the middle of the park in the first half as he looked to turn defence into attack. Protected his goalkeeper at corners as he stood next to Sanchez to ward off any attention from Palace players.
Moises Caicedo: 5
Attempted to protect the back four and worked hard in the centre of the pitch but Palace broke through on too many occasions.
Pedro Neto: 6
Was willing to run at defenders and was unfortunate not to pick out Palmer following a dangerous run midway through the first half. Was grounded by Tyrick Mitchell inside the box on the hour mark as Chelsea were denied a penalty.

Cole Palmer: 6
Swept home the opening goal of the game with a fine finish into the corner of the net. Illustrated his prodigious talents when he half-volleyed a through ball to Jackson just before the break, with the Senegal international firing his shot just wide. Drifted into pockets of space but went off the boil in the second half. Gave the ball away for Palace goal.
Jadon Sancho: 7
Left Chris Richards for dead in the build-up to the first goal as he allowed the ball to run before racing onto it and teeing up Palmer. Offered a glimpse of his talents but has more to give.
Nicolas Jackson: 4
Was a threat on the shoulder of Maxence Lacroix and Marc Guehi but lacked any end product. Should have done better after racing onto Palmer’s through ball in the first half and missed a glorious chance to extend his team’s lead at 1-0.
