Bukayo Saka has promised to bounce back even stronger following his surgery on a torn hamstring. The Arsenal star faces about two months on the sidelines after being forced off during the Gunners' 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

Post-surgery, Mikel Arteta confirmed that Saka had a successful operation but would be out for "many, many weeks."

Now, Saka himself has taken to Instagram to share an update following his surgery, captioning a photograph from a hospital bed with the fighting words: "The majority see obstacles, but few see the opportunities. Recovery has begun and I'm coming back stronger! Thank you all for your messages #GodsPlan".

Following the 1-0 win over Ipswich at the Emirates, Arteta commented: "He had a procedure. Everything went well, but unfortunately he will be out for many, many weeks."

When pressed for a timeline, Arteta added: "I said many weeks so I think it will be more than two months. I don't know exactly how much longer. It will depend on how the scar tissue starts to heal, the first week or so, the mobility of that. Let's see, it's very difficult to say."

Meanwhile, Arsenal clinched a tight victory over Ipswich to rise to second place in the Premier League, with Kai Havertz netting a goal via Leandro Trossard's assist

Despite securing the win, Arsenal's performance was far from convincing, higlighting how much they missed Saka's presence on the pitch.
