Ruben Amorim has lauded Alejandro Garnacho for his dedication in training following his omission from Manchester United's squad against Manchester City.
Marcus Rashford remained out of the group to face Tottenham on Thursday evening in the Carabao Cup quarter-final, while Matthijs de Ligt is sidelined due to illness, prompting Amorim to select Leny Yoro, Victor Lindelof, and Lisandro Martinez as his defensive trio.
Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui will operate as wing-backs, with the latter shaking off an injury sustained in the Manchester derby.
Manuel Ugarte and Christian Eriksen are poised to command the midfield, while Antony, Bruno Fernandes, and Rasmus Hojlund spearhead the attack. After being relegated to training at Carrington during the derby, Garnacho rejoins the squad and takes a spot on the bench.
When quizzed by Sky Sports about Garnacho, Amorim responded: "Good, like the others, he's prepared to play the game and I really like the way he trained, so it's one more option for the offence. He's really fast, he's good in one against one and we need this kind of ability from Garnacho. He is ready to help us.
"Every game we play is really important because it's a message to our fans. We don't look at is it a cup game or a Premier League game, it's just one more game that we have to win.
"Winning cups or not could change for the supporters but my goal is to improve the team. Of course we want to win trophies but the trophy we want to win in the future is the Premier League and that's on my mind.
"Our club demands that we have to fight for every title but in my head it's winning the Premier League, so I will do the steps that I think we need to win the Premier League."
When asked about Rashford's omission, Amorim said: "Selection. I have chosen the players who are ready to cope with the demands of playing a strong game.
"So I try to visualise that all week and then choose my players, so just selection. It's always the same with every player, not just Marcus. In the end, I have to make a selection and did it."
