Ricky Gervais poked fun at Roy Keane's recent skirmish with an Ipswich Town fan after recording an upcoming episode of The Overlap.
Gervais joined Manchester United legends Keane and Gary Neville, as well as fellow football big shots Ian Wright, Jill Scott and Jamie Carragher for a one-off appearance ahead of a busy festive fixture schedule.
The episode was announced on Wednesday ahead of its release on Thursday, with Carragher responding to The Overlap's social media post by writing: "Bloody loves football @rickygervais [laughing emoji]."
Spying the perfect moment to pounce on one of his fellow panelists, Gervais replied: "I’m just glad Roy didn’t want to chat to me in the car park."
Notorious football hard man Keane got into an altercation with an Ipswich fan after United's 1-1 draw at Portman Road on Sunday. The former Republic of Ireland international walked away from the Sky Sports pitchside table and confronted the supporter, telling him: "I'll wait for you in the car park."
