An amateur team in Russia, who are not recognised by FIFA, have reportedly made an ambitious bid to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus. Pogba is on the lookout for a new club after seeing his four-year ban for a doping offence reduced to just 18 months.

The Frenchman, who has already served most of his ban, will be free to train in January and start playing matches in March. He remains tied down to Juventus until 2026 but the Italian giants are widely expected to terminate his contract ahead of schedule.

It means Pogba will soon become a free agent, allowing clubs to sign him without needing to pay a transfer fee. A celebrity team in Russia have reportedly tried to take advantage of Pogba's situation by making a bold offer to sign the World Cup winner.

Pogba has been approached by Broke Boys FC, a team based in Russia who are not officially recognised by FIFA, according to Foot Mercato. They play in the Media Football League, an unofficial league made up of various influencers and celebrities.

The league is popular in Russia, with thousands of fans turning up at stadiums and tuning in online to watch their favourite celebrities in action. Broke Boys are the reigning champions, having beaten 2DROTS in this year's final in front of 27,000 spectators.

The 'concrete offer' was reportedly made before Pogba's doping ban was reduced by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. It is said that he was quick to reject their advances, informing the Russian club that he would prefer to join a top-flight team in Europe.

It remains to be seen where Pogba will end up as he prepares to embark on the next stage of his professional career. He is said to have emerged as a target for Marseille, where he could reunite with former Manchester United team-mate Mason Greenwood.

According to La Provence, initial talks are underway between Pogba's entourage and Marseille with a view to agreeing a contract. There is said to be no way back for him at Juventus, who have reportedly made it clear that his services are no longer required.

Pogba has also been linked with a potential move to the Saudi Pro League, where his star power would allow him to command a significant weekly wage. Alternatively, he could decide to follow in the footsteps of David Beckham and Lionel Messi by moving to the MLS.
